Have a question, want to use a zig on my syndicate lake but there is a rule of atleast 2 feet of tubing required, can I use a rig with tubing ?

Nice video. Did you spod over your zigs? Which are the conditions for doing that or not?

Alfie wasn't spodding on this trip no. Not sure what conditions he would spod.

Was you fishing them over any bait?

No he wasn't, just the zigs on their own 😁

I use adjustable zigs all the time. I tried Korda then fox and while both are almost impossible to see without binoculars, the korda is way bigger and easier to see than the fox. Using in anything but dead calm no ripple almost impossible unless fishing very close. So now I’m trying to figure how this running lead clip has an advantage over standard float zig lead 🤨 So I guess with standard as we play the fish the lead will slide all the way down to the float and thus be whatever the distance your hook length is away from the fish. But with this clip the lead will be the distance of whatever depth you were fishing at from the fish and thus theoretically have MORE leverage on the mouth? But hang on! With the lead being closer to the rod tip instead, albeit sometimes only by a few feet, means there’s more leverage on the lead from our movements possible making LESS leverage on the fish? Hmmm 🧐 One other thing; u don’t seem to be foam nuggeting the hook to the float to lessen chance of tangle. My casting success rate NOT using a foam nugget is about 15%. Always tangles even with very short hook length and hitting the clip.

Hi Eric 👋🏻 In this instance, I was dropping the lead on the take. The Run Clip will slide down to the zig float or when it hits the tip eye will slide down to the float without causing problems. The advantage of course is that you're in direct contact with the hook hold, which I believe results in landing more fish when there's a barbless rule. In terms of tangling, I used to have the same problems. I'd always suffer tangles if I didn't use foam or tape. Even then I'd have the odd one tangle too. Due to the unique shape of the Run Clip it naturally kicks the hooklink away from the float in flight. As long as you're stopping the lead on the cast, 99% of the time you're tangle free, without the use of foam or tape! This for me is the absolute best feature of the Run Clips. They give you complete peace of mind. I now use our Diffusion Camo XL Anti Tangle Sleeves as they offer something slightly more visual on those windy days, although binoculars are always advisable. Hope this helps! 😁 ^Alfie
