It is an eternal shame of Britain - along with the sellout of Poland and the extraordinary price all the free Poles paid for Churchill's betrayal. Churchill knew Turing was no risk - he knew the extraordinary things Turing developed to save Briyson

About the Apple logo, Steve Jobs was asked whether it had anything to do with the death of Turing and he said no, but he didnt mind people thinking that it did or words to that effect.

Steve Jobs said they hadn't known Turing's story but would have loved to have had that idea if they had. But there was no major cleverness or morality about the name.

Im fascinated by Bletchley Park - fascinating to hear so much about Turing. I have an MSc in Computing, but I dont think I could ever work with codes like that - my talents lie in different areas. :)

There is a movie coming out I believe this year about the code breakers and Mr. Touring is the focus. I don't think it delves into how horrendously he was treated after the war for being gay but I think it will be a great movie.

@blenderpanzi The striped Apple logo came out a few years before the "rainbow pride" flag. It was more to show it was a color computer and to appeal to a younger market. There's also no real evidence that it had anything to do with Turing, unfortunately, since I'd like it to be true.

It came out many years before the pride flag. It was in use in the 90s.
