hi, is this a stock car? MY mclaren and mercedes amg that came with the carrera digital 1:32 set are nowhere near your speed and are constantly sliding around and flying of. What am I doing wrong?

I use Maxxtrac and Quick Slick rear tires ... usually, X or Extreme work best for me, but not always. Sometimes Paul Gage rears work better as well, but not usually ... just depends on the car. I also frequently use: RMS-132P Piranha Slot Motors 21.5k S-Can for Carrera with Plug and Pinion or RMS-132X - Carrera 132 Tuning Motor - 23,500 Rpm. I usually prefer Piranha, but just depends on the car. For grip I always keep my track clean by frequently wiping with a clean micro fiber towel. I also constantly clean my tires with the sticky side of Zebra shipping labels ... these can be bought by the roll. I peel em' off the roll & roll tires on sticky side ... then stack a new label right on top of the used or dirty one. I have a couple stacks that literally have a hundred or more labels stuck on top of one another. Dust collect fast on tires ... even after a handful of laps ... clean tires make a world of difference to stop sliding. Some people use Duck Tape and claim extra grip, however I just use Shipping labels ... much cheaper. For tires and motors ... I just test which work best for each car. Some work way better than others depending on the car. I have found very few stock tires that work better than after market, but there are a few of the thin/narrow stock rubber tires that do work better than the after market on those type of small narrow cars. i.e. Carrera Porsche 904 GST. The same holds true with motors, but for me I would say over 50% of the stock motors actually work better than aftermarket on Carrera. However, some of the Carrera Cars run like a bat out hell with aftermarket motors ... i.e. Carrera Porsche 911 RSR's are probably the best running cars of all my Carrera cars w/Maxxtrac rears and a Piranha motors. Carrera Porsche 917K's are also crazy fast (actually quicker) and stick lick glue with just stock motor and Quick Slick X-Extreme rears. With the 917K's I would suggest getting a few extra Carrera Stock motors though. They are so crazy quick and throttle responsive that they will sometimes break the crimp on the pinion. However, when you get a Carrera stock motor with a good crimp for the 917K's it seems to hold indefinitely. I would say about 1 in 5 break or 80% will hold. Just experiment ... would be my best advice on motors and tires. Hope this helps and enjoy - Cheers!

@@limelite3 hello, thanks for the huge reply. Well i dont want to go crazy. This set is only for entertainment for my son and me. I will buy these neodyme magnets now. Cost 2 dollar. I think they will make a huge difference. Ive noticed, that the mclaren has half the size of the magnet then the mercedes amg has! The mclaren is so tail happy.......Also i realised, that if i wipe the tires with my bare hand then the car sticks to the trakc like hell! It sticked for like 2 hours easely. I think yesterday we played so long, that the tires were completely full of dust. The mclaren wobled on the lwest speed setting in every corner. Then i tooked the car today and wiped the tires just with my hand and was amazed how well it sticked to the track. Is there some app where you can type in the amount of track pieces you have and it recomends some track lyaout for you? Would be cool!
