Great video as always. You mentioned if you go more than half throttle in pits you can’t fuel. Is that a setting on smart race app? I haven’t seen any settings of that kind.

It is not a SmartRace setting or feature. It's my understanding that its part of Carrera's software that can't be modified. It's how Carrera chose to program the refueling. Refueling stops when the throttle goes past light throttle . (Around 1/2 throttle) You can move in the pits ( and beyond,,, you didn't hear that from me and don't tell anyone else. ) and continue to be refueled as long as it's light throttle. It's been that way from the beginning and there's nothing we can do about it. 😞

Rick, I really appreciate you taking the time to edit the video of the two cameras and also showing the screen capture of the laptop. I also appreciate the detailed information that you give us explaining things along the way. I like the idea of fuel filling automatically when the car enters the pits and stopping automatically when the driver hits at least 50% throttle. There are a lot of KZbinrs making cool videos about scenery and their tracks etc. but for me it is the fun of racing the cars and I really like the SmartRace app and Marc's great service. Im a real addict of lane changing and y'all not so much. Is there a particular reason why? I'm planning on expanding my track to around 75 feet, emulating yours in course but I have quite a few more in and out corner lane changers (about 6) and at this time, no aprons.

I have 7 lane changes, not counting 3 pit entrances. Each lane change requires an Anti Collision circuit board added to it and extra wiring to feed the isolation block. (per lane change) So there's a lot of time and expense when you add a lane change if done correctly. Plus each lane change also creates more dead spots. So I have enough for now. You go crazy with them if you like. 🙂

Hi again Rick, quick question for you about your Lane Gates... I have an identical pit layout as your track, and want to know if you have anti-collision at the pit exit, in other words,... as a car exits the pit lane and enters the inside racing line I don't want the exiting car to be able to enter the racing lane. I am thinking this isn't possible since there are no electronics in the pit exit track piece. Thanks Rick!

No, I do not. But I do know they offer them so that might be something I need to do in the future. We do have collisions at the pit exit. I would guess you would have to isolate one of the pit exit rails and it would be powered by the anti collision circuit board. If a car is drawing current on the main then it will kill power to the pit exit. That's my guess anyway.
