@Carrera Tutorial | How to program a Carrera Ghost Car! 👻

In this tutorial Dave will show you how to program a ghost car to run on your Carrera digital 1:32 or 1:24 slot car track. Great for display, additional cars on the track or mastering your skills against competition on auto pilot.
• First, you'll want to make sure no Carrera slot cars are on the track or they'll get programmed as well
• Now make sure your control unit is switched to the on position
• Next place the slot car you want to program on to the track now press the code button twice
• Next press the lane change button on your speed controller LED lights three through five will light successively indicating programming is in progress once successful the middle LED will light up
• You can now set the speed of your ghost car by pressing down on a speed controller until you reach your desired speed
• Once you've reached your desired speed while still pressing down and maintaining your speed - take your index finger and simultaneously press the lane change button
• You can now put your controller down and the Carrera ghost car should continue driving around the track until you remove it or press the code button again to program it

Hi Dave, nice video!! A couple things that your customers might want to know are the ghost car will stop in 15 seconds unless it senses a lane changer. You can't run ghost cars on tracks without lane change tracks. Second; you can use the start button to pause the ghost car and start again; that way they don't have to worry about the cars running into their car in the case of a deslot. And maybe mention that you can run up to 5 ghost cars in D132 and 3 or 4 in D124.

To recode the Ghost Car: make sure the front of the car is in the track, hold the back of the car up (hold the car) and then press the Code Button again. At that moment, the car stops and you can re-code it.

Hi, best to lift the Ghost car from the track and let it drive when the others have started. A Ghost car keeps going unless you decode it or lift it.

What do you do if you try to Uncode it but when you do it, it turns off when you try to connect it to a controller then turns back on but it dosent connect. Also it doesn’t stop when I press code.

Hi, I asked our technician and you could in theory use infinite ghost cars on a track, they are all programmed to one, so as much as would fit your track🤪 500? Or keep it to 1-4 😉
