Great job. And thanks for sharing. I’m building some similar doors and I’m curious about the glass you chose to use. Would you mind sharing the specs with me? Thickness, tempered, tinted and the manufacturer. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the comment. I used 1/2" thick glass panes. So a sandwich made up of two 1/8" thick glass and 1/4" spacer. Tint is not too dark, because I wanted to see outside and like the daylight/sun in the winter. They call the color Gray-Annealed. Any glass shop should be able to help you out.

Dude - you better back the truck up to these things and take them with you when you get ready to sell. Nobody will EVER give you what they are worth. Great job!

Would you ever consider insetting the bottom channel into the concrete?
@rustknee2 сағат бұрын
Yes, I've done that for other installations, but in this case client wanted to keep above concrete.

Hey - I've re-watched this video several times. Your work is excellent. I'm planning to build a similar system with the Hafele Al Fresco hardware. I noticed there are gaps above and below the doors where the tracks are. Do you have any solutions in mind for sealing/ weather stripping the above and below gaps without interfering with the sliding mechanism?

its not shown here, but you'll want to make sure to order the top seal called "Polypile" part PS13B which is inserted into the top channel. For the bottom use the perimeter seal part AQ21. There is also a seal between doors, part AQ63. Send me an email at hacabinetry@gmail and I can send you the PDF with more info.

Great work and by the way how to you like your Calavera leather
@barrwoodworksfurniture3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The leather is nice and durable. The back strap took some adjusting and could probably use a bit of a redesign which I think they have since corrected, but a nicely crafted piece.

I want to do exactly the same thing with my garage. Where did you buy the hardware?

Excellent!👍👍 What's the thickness of the wood?

wonderful work!, Where do you get the hardware for such a project? Martin
@barrwoodworksfurniture4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Martin. The hardware I source from my supplier in CA, Charles McMurray. You can also get it from other distributors, Hafele is the brand name and the style is "Al Fresco". Unfortunately you need to have a commercial account to purchase from distributors, Hafele doesn't sell directly for retail.
