Im a little lost - is the Carrick Mat the same as the Carrick Bend or different?

Hey! The Carrick mat is a flat knot made out of the Carrick bend. It is just a small expansion.

OK, it took a couple, let's make it 3 attempts to do that green knotted part correctly.
