CARRICKFERGUS (instrumental cover)

I loved this tune played by Geoff and by Denise and gave it a try in my version with some changes. Learning and playing the lead took me ½ hour. The creating of the backing with the keyboard-parts took me about 5 hours. I hope it was worth all the effort and you will enjoy my version.
Even being a big fan of Ireland I have never been to Carrickfergus but who knows.... May be one day. Looks like a place to be visited.

An excellent BT you spent those hours creating to this lovely melody - CELTic European DNA & mentality is probably why I, too, have seen several castles [in the St. Columba's {a.k.a.Colmchille} birthplace side] of No. Ireland as well as interested in the UK legends of King Arthur- but not travelled to this one near Belfast ---- the builder/architect of your image of the Castle Carrickfergus, John de Courcy, was an AngloSAXON Knight in the Norman Invasion! - HaHah

Hi Ernst, lovely interpretation of this beautiful song! The Burns sound is just perfect here and the flute/keyboard part was a nice surprise. Also a great backing track you have made, playing the lead is of course the fun part, and bt:s often consume a lot of time - but at least I think you get a good feeling when you finished a backing track and is satisfied with the result.
