Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon are the only actress in this series to win Emmy Awards. Sarah Jessica Parker had a clause in her contract for this show stipulating that she will not do any full nudity. This is why the audience never sees Carrie in anything less than underwear, whereas all the other main female characters have been filmed in much less. Sarah Jessica Parker & Cynthia Nixon were both pregnant during season 5. Cynthia Nixon was pregnant during season four. Her baby was born in 2002. The naturally blonde Cynthia Nixon dyed her hair red to play Miranda on the show.

And the woman laughing is unnatural as well, not to mention she keeps looking in the direction of the camera. The production didn’t actually do a great job of managing background in this scene.

It's an entirely different time and an entirely different world now. Things are polar opposite of what they were in the 90s and 2000s. The characters have changed to adapt to the times. Also, they are a good bit older now, so obviously they aren't going to be exactly the same as they were in their 30s and 40s....

This was when I knew Miranda could be saved. Carrie was in trouble. By the end of it all Aiden hated Carrie and no one can convince me otherwise. That kiss in the second movie happened in her mind only as far as I’m concerned.

Aiden couldn't tame Carrie. He wanted to marry her, but she too afraid to commit. Aiden wanted to settle down and have a family and Carrie just wanted to be Carrie. She totally broke Aiden's heart and he resented her for a long time after that. We also can't forget that Carrie was cheating on Aiden with Big, who was cheating on Natasha at the time. The whole situation was a giant cesspool of trashiness. Miranda and Steve were so off and on for the longest time that I think they had almost gotten used to it.
