It’s a matter of taste…everyone doesn’t like tight, fitted fashions…Carrie set the tone for fashion. If you don’t like it fine, however, flowing, beautiful fabrics are definitely not matronly darling💁🏽♀️

Che is gonna hurt the hell outta Miranda. Charlotte was making a big deal out of apologizing and it was annoying.

I am a woman of a "certain age" like Carrie. If Carrie is anything like me, having the latest and greatest in technology is not on the top of my list of priorities. So to me, Carrie having an older model of Macbook makes sense. I have one of the last models of Macbook Air to have the illuminated apple. As a matter of fact, I am viewing this show and typing the message from it. My point is, she's probably a person who prefers to use things as long as possible. I won't be buying a new one until the keys fall off. LOL!

Maybe that is a sign. Carrie is using that laptop when things were different ( Big was alive ).

People were always saying Carrie was a selfish brat but I didn’t get it. Now I do. Anthony’s husband divorced him and went to Japan and she’s still all my husband died. I would have loved to see Anthony say something like how many my husband left me and moved to the other side of the world’s do I get?

I agree Che does seem like a caricature. They don’t seem real. It’s very surface level. Like show us the real person.

I think the problem with AJLT is that SATC was hot and edgy because they were single. Now they're all married. Even Golden Girls was more edgy than this aside from the Miranda/Che fling because they were single.

I'm still thinking that while Cynthia Nixon may have wanted to have her storyline mirror her real life, David Eigenberg may not be readily available to film due to him living and working Chicago. So they might be setting it up for Steve to be written out. I just don't like the way they are doing it. Not a fan of Che, but I love Sara Ramirez! I miss Stanny, but I love Anthony being Anthony! I also miss seeing NYC in the show! That was one of my favorite cast members from SATC. The tea on season two is that talks have stalled due to the Chris Both scandal 🤷 Thanks for recapping Kempire! Love your commentary and facial expressions 😊😊

12:33 Strong disagree. I love this little detail! It means Carrie is a woman who sticks with her hardware through the years. She isn't the young debutante flinging herself at the newest, flashiest gear. Her Mac is still reliable and she, like you said, she's a woman of a certain age who doesn't chance the latest tech. When has CB EVER chased the latest tech? Remember how clueless she was about her original Mac dying and about backing up? I'm old enough to remember when she used a regular Windows computer before switching to Mac (at least, I think that was a WIN).

Women do have to apologize for everything we are apologizing for every little thing all day so that's kind of it kind of resonate with me because I'm constantly saying I'm sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry to everyone even when it's not my fault but when I'm playing a sport I don't say I'm sorry because I agree with Charlotte at some one time where you don't have to apologize

What made the original Sex in the City great was the fact that it was authentic. It was unapologetic. It was relatable because it didn’t make excuses for things that we all go through. This newer version is too politically correct which is the exact opposite of what made me love the original.

I’m all for shows that encourages (hopefully) our society to be more aware . But if you exploit these people as token characters it seems like a forced woke-athon that just doesn’t work
@krisbadwolf94292 жыл бұрын
Just why in this series so far every woman to lift herself up has to put a man down. Charlotte was not "i am woman hear me roar" when not saying sorry to Harry it was more "I am woman hear me be an a***ole." Miranda not telling Steve? He may be tone deaf to her issues but she can sit him down and have an honest conversation? She use to be able to. They were always strong women, why now are they middle aged jerks?

IMHO - I really enjoy Che. They DO NOT represent their entire community, and neither should ANY character. I know people LIKE Che, and people who can relate to PARTS of Che's character (including myself). It's interesting how so many comments disliking her sound IMO, "they're rubbing their extreme social views/lifestyle in my face so much! They need to tone it down! Stop being so extra" It comes off VERY respectability politics / model minority pressure IMO. I'm not seeing this level of scrutiny on ANY of the binary character so...

Im not feeling this reboot, I keeping hoping it'll get better but the writing is atrocious the story lines are ruining the characters they are making the men obsolete the forced diversity and fake wokeness is a no. The writers insert the black characters haphazardly and the sex scenes with miranda 🤢
