To everyone that is making comments stating that Kelsea has been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry far too soon, you may not feel that it is her time to be on this stage, but God is ready for her to be on this stage. She is exactly where she is meant to be. Always remember that everything in our lives takes place in God's timing not ours.

God is not on the Opry selection committee. But Kelsea is a pretty and talented young blonde girl who is very popular right now and will draw lots of viewers. That's the real reason most of these young performers are getting inducted over the veterans.

@@tinafansavga .. there's a lot of artists who are invited to join but turn them down. To be a Grand Ole Opry member you have to commit to a certain number of performances every year. Some performers just can't do that. Matter of fact unless you actually live in Nashville it's almost impossible

So you need to get FACTS and not make up your own. Johnny cash was drunk and kicked all the bulbs off the Opry stage and that is why he wasn't in the Opry. Hank Williams had no-showed the Opry several times which is why he was not in the Opry. SOOOO educate yourself

Many artist such as George Strait and Miranda Lambert are not members because they are unable to make the commitment. Membership requires the commitment to perform a minimum number of shows a year (something like 26) at the Opry, among other things. George lives in Texas which makes it hard for him to commit to showing up to perform at least every other week. The Opry won't do a public invite unless they are sure the artist is able and willing to make the commitment. Being a member of the Opry isn't a joke, it's an honor that requires a big commitment and love for the home of country music. They don't want a member who is never going to show up and perform.

I like Kelsea but to induct her before Miranda Lambert and so many other greats that are still waiting for their turn is mind boggling. It makes you wonder what their criteria is for choosing someone like Kelsea who only came on the scene a few years ago. I was wondering the same when Carrie was inducted back 2008. As much as I love Carrie, I thought of all other country singers who have spent 15-20 years singing country and making hits should have been chosen instead. I think Carrie definately deserves it 13 years into her career, but back in 2008 she was very new to country stardom. Just saying

The elements of the commitment especially, along with the potential inductee's true personal behavior, and what the invitation really means to them. Seems the folks who get skipped have issues that just don't measure up to Grand Ole Opry standards, for reasons the general fan base may never know.

I gotta be honest I'm extremely surprised Kelsea Ballerini is being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry when she has only been around barely 5 years give or take if that. She is also not that good of a singer without the autotuner & vocalizer. 3 years ago give or take she was on ABC CMA Country CHRISTmas special, the first time she was on there, & apparently they didn't use the autotuner or vocalizer for her & she sounded horrifically terrible. Really good singers sound the same or just as good without the autotuner & vocalizer as they do with it. When she sings without the autotuner & vocalizer there is a major difference & her singing is terrible without it. I know there will be some negative feedback but I don't care. I'm just being honest. I was a local DJ in a small town for a few years & as part of my rig/set up I had an autotuner & vocalizer & they make a major difference, they can make or break a singer.
