Gloria Simpher - why does everyone try to compare Miranda and Carrie? They have completely different styles... Miranda isn’t a powerhouse singer. She has a more traditional country voice. Why was that even mentioned?? The one thing I don’t like about country music is the restriction put on artist expression in the music. Carries voice is huge, and I honestly feel like country music holds her back. This song allowed her to do things with her voice I’ve never heard her do before.

JHH 2184 What do you mean country music holds Carrie back?Its really allowed her to express every side of her personality & allow her to be able to explore songs or styles not found in the country genres & allow her to experiment with different types of music that I think most country singers would be afraid to explore.If anything,this song has shown that at least exploring this style of music has shown that its OK to incorporate a little bit of pop in her music without leaving the country genre entirely.Her voice in this song is just freaking incredible because it really shows off her range & give it a little bit of a hip hop inflection that she really doesn’t show in her songs normally.She doesn’t need to leave the country genre to have more success when she has 26 #1s in the genre.If it ain’t broke,don’t fix it as the saying goes.
