Terrible Fate I main Taric. He's my favourite character because all of his abilities are designed to help your team. Stun, heal, armour shred and an ap and ad buff. I don't see why he's so ignored when I've had my best games with Taric and an at least fairly decent adc

+Necrobadger I've heard the same thing said about Soraka, at least older versions of her. The reason she's shown here is that she is still mostly played as the support in unranked games. As a Sona main (or at least former Sona main, as I have multiple mains now), I'd say she is generally more effective as a support, since her auras scale based both on AP and on how much of her team is in her AoE when she casts. Playing Sona as an APC or a mid carry reduces her potential, in a way.

cbr600f0 She can carry...if she has a good team behind her. Which usually means having a strong damage-dealing ADC who doesn't necessarily depend on a lot of farm. And this is from a Sona support main who's had the unfortunate experience of carrying with Sona due to poor ADCs who fail to take kills and then cry when Sona secures the kill as the enemy is escaping. :P As far as carrying with a support, Orianna and Lux, or even Leona, are much better candidates than Sona.

+Albus Nix i'm silver, so i might be wrong, but leona can't really 1v5 enemies in any way since she has no dmg. Neither can she split push cause against towers, still no dmg and her AOE waveclear (even with W) is below decent. Also, it takes her ages to take dragon or even the scudler. she sure is strong but won't carry with a bad team. orihanna and lux, i agree with you there, then again i don't see them as real supports (of course i play them bot too somethimes but still). Sona can, at least better then leona, 1v5 and make a penta.

cbr600f0 If we're talking 1v5-style carrying, then I agree. However, I've seen Leonas get ridiculously powerful by picking off enemies in groups of one or two at a time, with as little as one teammate helping her. Sona needs teammates around her to really max out her potential--the duration of her auras scales based on how many of her teammates she buffs with them. Having said that, I've usually been in the position of playing support Taric or Sona alongside a mediocre Vayne/Caitlyn/Sivir/Ashe ADC against a good Leona alongside a fairly good Jinx/Kalista/Vayne ADC. So in going up against Leonas, I've usually gotten the short end of the stick to begin with. xD

Just wanted to mention that a good Leona with a team that doesn't just abandon team fights is an absolute beast from mid-game on when she builds Tenacity and Ability Haste. Leona and Shen are absolutely terrifying if you get to where you can use your combos every couple seconds.

+Edicius Mai yes you can really, stay out of range, keep bushes warded. Her ulti cc is easy to avoid. Sona is useful forever as she's a damage/heal with a minor cc that can hit whole teams if they're not careful.
