What a final between to world champions. Great display of skills by both players. If we had a confident aggresive and innovative Prashant on one side then we had a worthy cool calm and steady Yogesh as a worthy opponent. Yogesh lost the match in the sixth board of the final set when he missed pocketing the simple queen shot. Had he done that maybe the final outcome of the match would have been different. This however does not take away any credit from Prashant who played like a true champion. One should also appreciate Yogesh from coming back so stongly after watching Prashant's break to finish in the first board of the first set. Any ordinary player would have crumbled in the face of such a stong attack but Yogesh rose to the occassion. It was a very difficult moment for any player since it can shake your confidence. I would however like to give one suggestion to Yogesh that he should again revert to the scissors grip for the break since it gives a better spread of coins and a chance to go for break to finish. Thanks once again to both Yogesh and Prashant for displaying highest class of sportsmanship. Yogesg appreciating the break to and Prashant admitting the foul. They both are champions in the true sense.

Why was Prashant awarded only 2 points from 22 to 24 in the first game? He pocketed the queen and there were 2 black coins on board. Shouldn't it be 5?

Hi, it's because of LAW OF CARROM. After 22 points, queen's 3 points are not allowed to count in the SET total. Only carrommen's points are allowed to count in the SET total. Playing with both hands, hitting opponents coin purposely, pocketing base coins and coins touching the lines, shifting the whole body left and right, these all makes the game quite easier, at this level of tournament the rules should be tougher and there has to be some amazing and daring shots to make the same more exciting. The games shown here are too defensive, only negative shots, games are dull and boring. Please bring changes in rules to make the game tougher and enjoyable.
