Suitable for:
✔Syrian hamsters
✔Dwarf hamsters (half the size, prone to diabetes so not too much milk/apple drops/yoghurt)

I have a guinea pig, and I haven't tried this yet, but for guinea pigs: Instead of flour, use blended oats. Don't use oil or milk. If you can, use orange juice. ( UNSWEETENED! ) DON'T USE YOGURT! Mix orange juice and the oats, or finely grated or blended carrots for a frosting. DONT USE APPLE DROPS. Spinach will do just fine! ♥️ Hope this helps my guinea pig friends out there! ♥️

We were going to make this for my hamster’s 2nd birthday (June 1st 2022), since carrot cake is my all time favourite cake and I wanted him to have some too. However, he developed a lump on his chest about a week and a half ago which got progressively worse. We made the decision to have him put to sleep, so we decided to make him this as a farewell treat. He’s a picky little bugger and only ate certain bits of it, but it’s certainly a memory of him that I’ll never forget. Also, little tip for anyone else making these: once you’ve grated your carrots, squeeze them tightly over the sink or a bowl. This will get rid of any excess water and will help them bake quicker.
