I have just followed your recipe to the letter but added 8 Grams of corriander by mistake. This was the tastiest soup I have eaten in my life. Thank you.

Do you find that steam escapes when it’s cooking? I’ve had mine a while and haven’t noticed it before today.

Do you put the stock cubes in whole or do they need to be dissolved?
@applelover533 жыл бұрын
I put them in whole and the liquid dissolves them.

Hi! My new soup maker arrived yesterday And I saw your video here. I didn’t realize cilantro and coriander are the same, and it’s a taste I cannot abide. What would you recommend in its place? Parsley? Perhaps basil? Please advise this new subscriber. This will also be the first time I have worked with red lentils. New horizons… Thank you.

Hi. I'm curious why it is you add hot water with ingredients?
@applelover535 жыл бұрын
I always have done, probably because I use a stock cube and think it dissolves better with hot water.

Hi do you think it is makes any difference to have a saute function in the soup maker? Thanks
@applelover536 жыл бұрын
Hi, I don't think its vital, to be honest Ive not made a soup yet that I had to sauté veg before putting it into the soup maker. but if you buy one and it has that function then its a bonus.
@joedanns56786 жыл бұрын
Mine is a Morphy Richard Soup maker. And has puree,chunky and blend/clean settings, so I would say that the saute function is not necessary. Soup makers are very easy, convenient and fast, they run on 20 min or 30 min programs.

I’m late to the party but I put all the ingredients used here into my fitness pal and only got roughly 450 calories, does anyone know if this is correct?
@applelover534 жыл бұрын
I don't know but guess that could be correct its an old video, from memory it would give at least 4 servings so not many calories per serving

Excellent recipe. First soup I made in new soup maker. Texture was a little dense for my taste so loosened it with some 1% milk. Perfect. Thought 2 cubes would be too much so used one. Needed two. You were right. Thanks for recipe.
