Keep the taste, aroma and color of carrots all year round in jars, with the most beautiful and original jam.
MATERIALS
1 Kilo of Carrots
3 Cups of Sugar (675 g)
2 Cups of Water (500 gr.)
1 Cup of Natural Orange Juice (250 g)
Zest from 1 Orange
1 Cinnamon stick
Juice of 1 Lemon
Prescription Process
Cut their stems with a knife
We remove their skin
We choose fresh carrots without bumps or holes, etc.
Grate them on a coarse grater
Put 1 kg of carrots in a pot over high heat
3 Cups of sugar (675 g)
Zest from 1 orange
1 cup of natural orange juice (250 g)
2 Cups of water (500 g)
Stir to incorporate the ingredients
Add 1 cinnamon stick
When they boil, lower the heat to medium, and cook for 50-60 minutes
Stir regularly when the jam thickens
If it sets too much, add a little water and boil it again
Put a spoonful of syrup on a frozen plate
Draw a line with the spoon, if it stays in place the jam is ready
Towards the end of boiling, add juice from 1 lemon
Let it boil for 2-3 minutes, and remove from the heat
Remove the cinnamon stick
Store the hot jam in sterilized jars
Close the lid and turn it upside down until it cools down
We keep it in a cool place for up to 3-4 months
After opening the jar, store it in the refrigerator
