Fabulous pen and review! Did you ever imagine you would have such magnificent pens? I should have thought that Platinum would have made this particular model eyedropper capable . . . , not that it would have mattered much to me. Ink capacity doesn't mean as much when one loves switching out inks as much as I do!

I hope it's okay to ask this. If you don't usually like pens this color, preferring bright or more neutral...what made you decide to buy it? I would be really disappointed if I had to say that a pen I chose to purchase could "grow on me". I'm just curious why you wanted to add it to your collection.

No worries. The first thing that gravitates me towards a pen is the way it looks, but I’ve also found pens I love that don’t look as great as others in my collection. A follower suggested a president nib and so I wanted to try it out this pen. It’s wonderful and writes different than the the other platinums in my collection and in a good way. It’s definitely a keeper. I wouldn’t have known that for myself had I limited myself to just colorful fountain pens so I don’t. But if the body came in a bright blue or turquoise then I would have chosen that color.

I do love being the first comment...Wow, you didn't waste much time getting the first pen of 2023. Nice looking pen. I guess that will be the flagship pen now that they discontinued the President.

@@CarrotsOlives May be it's been about a year now. Could be more. They kept the nib. What's the writing on clip? Is it Platinum or President? This pen though, is a huge step up from the President, which some felt felt kind of cheap. But this is ebonite and urushi or a wood and a $700 price difference.
