Carry On Cabby is my favourite Carry On, a very amusing script, one highlight being when Sid James returns to base, a nervous wreck, having given Charles Hawtrey a trial. Kenneth Connor asks" Have an accident?", and Sid James replies " No thanks, we've just had some"

I have the whole collection of the carry on I've been watching them since I was 5 years old use to watch them with my mum the only carry on I need to get now is carry on Christmas and carry on Columbus then I got them all X

I have them all on DVDs my brother had them and was going to throw them out then he decided to give to me as I still love them I especially love all the old cars in them

@ Stephanie Gouldson. OMG! Can yo please tell me, how I can get ahold of the "Carry On, Cabby"?! I would do anything to see this film again. My two sisters and I, would play Carry On Cabby, with me being the cabby, and them being "Glan Cab", with my Matbox cars. After seeing this film, I went out and bought 12 1963 Matchbox "Taxi's, and 4 Hotwheels, Enland style cabs. We were 5, 7, & 9 y/o. I freaking LOVE this film!

The carry on films and on the busses was the best 1960s/70 comedy as in this political correctness society it wouldn't be allowed now sadly!!!

Played in those taxis when I was a kid including Peg 1 they were being stored in scrap yard in mablethorpe Lincolnshire 1979

Love this film. But the music is SO repetitive - especially at the end with the car chase.

Just been reminded, the Rum-ti-ti-Tum theme does not seem to go well with the title. That's because it wasn't originally going to be a Carry On at all. The director/producer team made several films with much the same cast which weren't. "Raising the Wind" is essentially "Carry On Music School" for instance. Anyway, this one was meant to be called "Call Me A Cab". Listen again and that's obvious.

Kenneth Williams declined to appear in this, I believe he was supposed to play a union agitator, not a part he would have wanted, the role was scaled down & given to Norman Chappell

Thank you, not a fact I had heard before; I wish Kenneth Williams had realised, in his lifetime, how valuable it is to have the ability to make people laugh, even in something as simple as a childrens programme "Willo the Wisp" his voice characterizations brought the characters to life - I love his humour/dry wit. They re-made the programme, up-dated it, but I would rather have the original which is far better quality in every way and speaks to the children with more respect and with the asssumption that even though they are young they are still nevertheless intelligent.
