it's sad to see this new generation of anime ottakus look at these classics and say, "this sucks, where's the hot yoai, no kitty?, and let's not forget the worst one of all...this anime epic fails!" It's so sad, there needs to be a video that pits old anime against new anime!

I'm a 90s anime fan (born in the 80s so...) but recently got into this series. I find it interesting though I do get a bit lost at some points (there is a start to this...right captain...? IDK.) Also I like to mention that being a oldschool yaoi fan I've noticed the trend anime has been going and don't care for it. But I didn't go into Harlock (hahaha) for some crazy guyxguy action. I honestly just wanted to see what a friend told me about him. I saw the 2013 movie (many times actually) and liked it so I figured it was time for me actually watch some oldschool anime. Also pixiv seems to be pretty updated for fanart (don't cross into the YamaxHarlock or you'll be laughing like me. The ship is titled "YamaHa"....nothing but bikes and logos outside pixiv) I would love to see Harlock get a remaster or even a reboot. The younger anime fans might actually give him and the series a chance. Now there is a new manga for Harlock coming out soon so that makes me hopeful that we just might see him make a comeback. I notice this comment is dated but I thought I would toss my two cents in.

Ya know I first thought Vash and Trigun would have made a good vid for this song. I was dead wrong. Harlock is one of my favorite anime characters, this fits him perfectly. Also the SSX movie, thats the one thats a sequel to Arcadia of My Youth, right? It looks awesome, and Harlock proves his badassness at 2:04 when he karate chops a robot! And when he dropped down on that group of soldiers and blew them all away my jaw hit the floor. XD
