Generally I consider Scorpions to be the better unit in slot as compared to Sabertooths. But if you already have good chaff clear and the targets are high health ground targets, sabers can be cheap option to tech as a counter.

if u can clear up the opponent's chaff quickly, sabertooth is truly better with quicker fire rates and much cheaper price, the output is no less than Scorpions

@@yizhang5455 to some extent. Smaller robots tend to group up and get destroyed together with nearby units by Scorpions. That often means multiple mid-sized units(balls, Sledgehammers, Typhoon) and sometimes giants hugging just behind chaff. I think Sabertooths have an advantage in cost and sometimes against shield bubbles (I think they can sometimes be better against Typhoons when shield bubble is involved).

Dont sledgehammers normally get countered by steel balls?

When horizontal, generally just yes (if you have good chaff then they can kill the steel balls whikst the balls are stuck hitting crawlers or whatever, but unit v unit). However, when placed vertically, the steel balls will latch on the first sledge, burn it down fsirly quick, then have to move forward a cpuple meters, relatch, and recharge there beams to burn down the next one. They will absolutely win the trade, but it takes them ages, like 3 or 4 times longer than When it's horizontal sledges and they all latch on different tanks. And if it takes them ages, they aren't doing what you want in burning down towers or big single units like tarantuals or leveled arclights.
