In my experience playing Gears 4 with mouse and keyboard, aiming long range was definitely much easier. Headshots with boltok were child's play. Hipfiring with automatic weapons was also highly effective. I was able to go on long killstreaks just hipfiring the tri shot, made me feel like Arnold from Terminator 2. Hipfiring with the gnasher at close range felt very awkward for me, so I had to popshot a lot of the time. Charging weapons like the torque and EMBAR seemed to have a longer delay than they did on controller, meaning that, for some reason, they seemed to take longer to fire after I let go of the left mouse button. Dunno. Might've just been me. Of course, the biggest hurdle for me was learning the control scheme especially after playing on controller for so long and the fact that there is no click to aim, meaning you gotta hold down the right mouse button to aim. You can't just click it and you can't change it in the control settings (Although it's been a while since I've actually played Gears 4 so they may have changed it, idk). Wallbouncing and movement in general took time to get used to as well.

Thanks for posting that. I was just about to ask what it was like to play gears with mouse and keyboard. I play everything else on pc (Siege, Battlefield, etc...) but gears is the only game I still play on console and always wondered how it would feel with mouse and keyboard.

I play on PC at 120+ fps with a gsync monitor and it's way smoother than xbox. You haven't lived until you've tried it. Running gsync or freesync is important at anything higher than 60 fps so that there is not screen tearing.
