59y, stroke survivor, blind in one eye, loss of dexterity in my right hand/arm. I play tanks every day. Amost never miss a day. I stopped my skill progression when I had my stroke a few years back. But I can still do "good enough" to keep my playing for my own enjoyment. The other night, I was in a 15-5 blowout loss. Two people with WG ratings of over 8000 took the time to berate me after the battle with insults. Funny enough, one of them was something like "have you found your missing hand?" I used to be a dick to people who played poorly but now I just shrug and move on. Who knows what they are dealing with.

This is such an awful message that reeks of typical conservatism. You'd didn't care about other people until that specific situation happened to you and somehow this is supposed to be a heartwarming life lesson. Too many people don't care about others unless they're in the same situation. That's the real problem, and picking up personal issues while that remains unfixed won't actually help anyone. Have empathy in general not just where you have experience.

This was what I was going to say. You never know people's circumstances. They may have physical or cerebral impairments. They may have a terrible internet connection with huge lag. Or possibly a combination. Having said that, they should try and do what the tank they are playing is designed for. I don't mind poor skill levels, or poor decision making. If such players want longer games, they should play more TD and SPG games. Nothing worse than your only light hiding at the back!

I only have feeling in my little finger and down half of my ring finger in my right after I lost I go into with a chainsaw and lost somehow. so using a keyboard is really difficult. Been tk`d, pushed into fire, off cliffs, out of cover etc I also still get abuse after game. I` know am not great but I know I`m getting better. do not care about marks etc. Keep having fun mate and good luck with your health and hope it can improve a little. I use a left handed mouse with most of the controls bound to it. I only use the wsda and z keys. I`m 58 this week! all the best mate.

I think Yuro in one of his “how to” videos said “a Unicum recognizes that their teammates may not be reliable, but is at least a target that the enemy will shoot at”. I don’t think it applies as much in World of Tanks as it does in World of Warships but it kinda works the same way

These 2 are trolls who play bad by purpose or bots. I looked up their stats, the 140 had 43 % WR and 180 (!) WN8, Maus 46 % WR and 440 WN8.

I'm not sure they're bad on purpose. There are a lot of people who play games like WoT, WoWS, Warthunder etc who just want to drive around in tanks, sail ships, fly planes etc. They just want to have fun doing that, games aren't something to take seriously but are there to relive stresses of every day life. Live and let live is the best approach.

I don't know what but something bigger has changed in this game. I've been playing this game for over 10 years. My win rate was 53-54 percent for nine years. In the past year, my win rate in monthly breakdowns has been between 30-48 percent.30 percent win rate over 1 month is incredible

Played this game on and off since 2012. Lost count how many times I have had idiots camping at the back in a top tier heavy tank. Must be in the 1000's for sure. Also lost count how many chat bans I have been hit with. I will always call these idiots out in chat.

The silver lining is that if your team sucks, you can get a far higher portion of the damage. Games where your team plays too well often end up being mediocre for you. Doing 7.2k combined in a tier 9 game usually requires some incompetence on your teammates' part.

Terrible players are frustrating on your team, but those same players will be on red teams too. Who says no to a free Maus to farm? They provide a vital source of HP to the opposite team and allow for those massive games you sometimes get! Edit: Look at the camping GSOR QB got to farm, so that's a bit of balance.

Concept, they play either like AI learning or like siblings/friends who are learning WoT. If you give an agent (I say that loosely cause there isnt a formal definition of what meets an agent) too high of an emphasis of preservation of its life, it will not push. A glass cannon tank will play more conservatively than a tank with HP and armour to boot. This could be a case the AI has some minimal training and is playing poorly before it can play decently.

I blame wargaming's incompetence to come up with any kind of player stats matchmaking, at least create divisions like bronze, silver, gold etc... with bronze being 2k-4k WTR, silver being 4k-6k WTR, gold being 6k-8k WTR, platinum being 8k-10k WTR or something, so that people get matched up with other people maching roughly their skill level. It is annoying to play with team mates with 2k-3k WTR while most of the enemy team has 5k-6k, I had a battle like this not long ago, I was the only one with 7500 WTR on my team, the rest I kid you not 2k+ and 3k+, while more than half of the players on the enemy team had 6k+ WTR and it showed, it was an obvious defeat. I don't care if the game would be harder because of the divisions, but at least it would create a fairly even playing field.

On prokorhovka yesterday in the bz-176. I havent really used it much since getting it as I find it very hit and miss but I was having a decent run and actually enjoying the day. Went over the railway lines with 2 others to watch the slope of the hill(we had the river part on our side.) As there was only three of us, two of us hung pack and one went to scout. The rest of the team were all down the dirt road and only a couple in the middle. The enemy had 7 on top of the hill that we were fighting. By the 5 minute mark all the team on the right side were dead, the three of us had taken out 5 of the enemy, then the enemy started coming over the rails towards the two of us left. We took out a couple more and all the while two of our fallen heroes were calling us out for not going up the hill. Pointed out that With 7 on the hill and three enemy in the middle and having a 22sec reload there was no point in going up the hill as it was pointless. In the end I had 4 kills, 4.5k damage, 2k spotting and 2.5k bounced. The felal with me had 3 kills and we were both at the top of the table with a clutch of gongs. The fallen heroes who were whining at us, a couple had scored 0. I get fed up of being the Forlorn Hope as all the rest of the team have jumped onboard the lemming train and just sit. I'm only average but I am always looking at the map or when trees go over pointing it out to the team. But when it comes down to it, what's the point.

Had a game yesterday in my Mittlerer Kpz. Pr.68 (P) (I've been grinding mods out on it) where some player was upset me and a TD didn't YOLO into the South on El Halluf with him. I ended up with 3-4k in damage, 3-4k in assisted dmg, 5 kills, 2nd in dmg, first in xp. I typed GG You're welcome into chat after I destroyed the last enemy tank.

I've honestly been having more of these games lately where noobs take vehicles that have an important role in the battle out onto the battlefield and just sit back with them and play sniper instead. It's so frustrating to deal with such players as it most definitely sets our team up from failure right from the start. You'd think that the christmas gamers have quit already, but I've honestly noticed MORE of them AFTER christmas, which doesn't make any sense to me at all...

Another example would be a game where I was playing in an ELC, while having another ELC on my team, alongside an EBR. Now I find myself deep into enemy territory, possibly about to have the best scouting game of my life, when I see the other ELC on my team active scouting alongside the EBR. The EBR dies and the ELC gets chased down and starts running my way, this fool got me proxy spotted and killed in a blink of an eye. Sometimes I just wonder why these idiots even play

Better to do your best, learn from the experience, and hope for better teammates next game. If you play in a platoon you will at least have some help.

They don’t play like bots, I have never seen bots play so active yet passive… bots just mostly like to stay in one location the whole battle, and be active with the turret. And when they drive it’s usually in straight lines. These guys are just people who don’t care about winning, they just wanna drive around with their virtual tanks and that’s what they consider ’fun’ on a weekend…

Sometimes players like to hide until the end of the match when many of the enemy are damaged and they are full health. Then they look like the heros.

You think the 140 and the Maus are the biggest trolls in this battle. Now in the post game stats look at the AE phase I and Tortoise who probably hit only 2 shots, the Gonkiewicza who somehow managed to deal only 9 damage, and the Type 68 who did nothing, then you know how hard this carry is.

I like your comment about not knowing the "bad player's" situation. It could be they are not on the same mission that your are. They are trying to get damage to 5 tanks instead of destroy 2 tanks. Or another possibility is the "bad player" had an attack of diarrhea and had to leave the fight. Or a myriad of other reason to go AFK. You can't do that in the program or you could get punished, so your tank just sits there. Another possibility is being aware that your team is so far down in hit points that there is no way to win. So the "bad player" just makes as many hits as they can and lets the other team farm them and they can move on to another game. Enjoy

Happens to me every day... Guess bad luck, but keep having trolls in every single game (mostly on my side unfortunately). When I make mistakes, I usually insult myself with "why did you peek with the flank instead of side-scraping you noob! It sometimes happen to me to be disrespectful to other players (not very often) when they do things over the boundary (dosen't excuse anything...) But you can't carry every games, even with good tanks. 2 days ago, was with my Scorpion on Mannerheim and took position on the mountain in a T8-6 game. Enemies were pushing along the South and even if I kept punishing them (almost 5.5k damage on it) we lost. Because at some points, no more tanks were to defend the South. But what was the most annoying thing, was to have 3 people like the Maus and Obj in the video, sitting in the forest at the end of the map, full HP... When you'd love to have eyes to keep punishing, but you can only rely on yours and no armor, it's frustrating...

Good reasoning, I've just returned to WoT since 2013. I've noticed that players are much more abusive and mean than back then. In one month my blacklist have grown with 20 people. Some of the players names suggest that they are over 40 years old. Thats really tragic and sad and o feel sorry for them as the cant feel that well. Playing games is about having fun

Had a lot of losing games where my fully modded best equipped tanks suddenly start doing crit hits, missing or the shells just simply disappear. You know it’s a lose. Play arty a lot if first three shots miss or do that was close it’s an auto lose team….no worth getting excited about.

Thanks QB for the 44 million sacrifice as a CC. MontanaJack has a theory and it revolves around the 20 year generational intervals. You are mid thirties so the generation of young people who are the next gaming generation are mid-teens. You matured in gaming being aggressive, precise, knowledgeable, and when necessary reckless! They on the other hand are maturing under the umbrella of drops, digital incentives, dramatic colorful skins and a Kumbaya philosophy taught in school. That happen to me also, when I am playing. I know how it is, people say in game, report the play, who is me. Yes, really nice, after the battle he write to me and complain, even if it was a win, I write to him and told him my handicap, I am born with shaking hands and it will be worse closer to the enemy. Then he come down and realize what it was and told me to keep it up. I am a 48,5% player even when I have that handicap. I see a player with 45-47% who do a good game, I send a nice chat to them, to keep it up.

This is the worst when I play my Tier 7 or 8 and I get into a match up 2 tiers higher than me, but our top tier tanks are just... not there. Griefing, clueless, whatever the reason may be. In those cases I cannot be expected to carry. Sometimes not even my gold can pen those top tier tanks. So what am I supposed to do? I am just sitting on a train headed for Dunk Town and my frustration is immeasurable.

Yeah. Today I went to the east flank of serene coast in my kv-2 (because I saw nobody was there) and literally 1v5’d behind that one rock, and beat them all, got 3k dmg and 5 kills, and my team lost 15-8.

when i began my journey knowing nothing aside from what my 12year veteran adult son told me, I too played like this, regardless of the map or situation. I was very timid very passive, usually died within the first few minutes or at the end when I was the zero muppet last man standing and the rest of the team was dead. Then I found CC's like you and have vastly improved since then. I used to get in game and in garage hate and I simply laughed at them as I'm older and there's nothing they did/could've say/said that had any impact. I've reported people on behalf of other players, especially when the name calling and slurs came/come out, but you've given sage advice to the community and examples, hopefully more people will follow that instead of the toxic name calling/slurs and vitriol, because as you stated, you can't possibly know their age, their situation, nor should you purposefully be a Dick to another human, Life's too short to be like that nor allow a situation to affect you like that, and this comment is too long so I'm stopping.

the only bad thing is, with the result the players are confident they did all right, so they hardly think how to play better. Nothing new as we see all this red line heavy campers in our battles

Its funny that QB seems to find this extreme with only three campers, wheras for me its an average battle, usually with a few more heavies camping. Also look at how they camped so they got no kills between them and barely any damage. Not only making it worse for me, making it worse for them as well. I don't think QB really realises how frustrating it is in every single battle.

I just wish when players start to chat attack you in the garage, they either try and help with advice. Or as QB said do nothing and just play on with there game, me as a player is always up for advice to improve my game, whether its how to set up tanks or just best ways to run your tank in any game.

It really seemed to me that these two tanks were controlled by a program. I've often thought about this lately, that accounts that have been taken back due to fraud or whatever are being used and programs are being used to control a tank or two.if there is no proper pairing between tanks,,,but this is probably just a conspiracy theory on my part, I don't really believe it either, but when I see players in such impossible situations, it's hard to believe that humans control them.

Here on asia server, we have two types of players Sweatlords who are more than 60+ wr players and below 40, i saw law night a 39% wr on Onslaught. This kind of bots are really frustrating, especially if the game is lopsided, they are not shooting nor doing something to win.

To be honest, there are more and more such players, who either play alone or are in a platoon and doing that.Either they do it on purpose, they are trolling, or they simply don't know anything, they are some beginners.I have nothing against beginners, I used to be one too, but it's very strange that almost all the time when I play, my team has at least 3 such players, and the opponent's team doesn't have a single one, not always, but almost, and yes, I'm not exaggerating, it really is like that.

How can a beginner have a Maus? You need to play a lot to get to tier 10. I rather think they are bots or trolls. At least WG should adjust the MM and put those trolls on both teams. Also there should not be a platoon allowed for them.

@@dmitriyzhukov9193 You don't realize how fast you can get to tier 10 nowdays.I've seen players with 1000 battles have tier 10's tanks my friend, and 1000 battles is nothing, that's a beginner. And I agree that for MM.If I have for an example 2-3 newbie or bad players, Mm should put to the enemy team also, atleaset 1.
