My father gifted me an Alto 800 (lxi) when I passed MBBS and started residency in surgery. He is not rich, but he wanted to make sure I had a roof over my head in rains and sun. Now I am a practicing neurosurgeon and have purchased 2 cars (ciaz and i20) but still drive my Alto since last 10 years. My friends tell me that I am doing well and should not be seen in an Alto. I remember the times this car had been with me and I love how reliably she has done it and I cannot let her go.

Ours Alto was a 2004 model, over 1.6 lakh kilometres on it , expired by 2019 and the catch is we decided to keep it despite its RC expired 4 years ago. We don't drive it but we've kept it as it's a family member of ours and we are not going to scrap it either. Alto is the first vehicle i learnt driving on.

Our alto lxi came home in 2009 when i was in class 5. My father's first car. My mom dad me everyone learnt driving in this car.I used to go to tuitions with my mom in this car and dreamt of driving her one day. I learnt driving in 2015 when I was in class 11..so I had to wait 2 more years to hit the roads.. Yet used to drive inside our residential. Post 2017 I used to rule the roads with my beloved alto.. Did many road trips. 2020 I met my girlfriend. We made so much memories in this car.. Still making more.2021 came home Tata Nexon. But alto remained and retained as being part of the family. This year she's going for registration renewal. Now I am dreaming of taking her to ladakh very soon to celebrate our bond, thank her for all those memories and hoping to make our bond more stronger than ever. Our Alto is a part of our family. She is my first love ❤

800 was our first car, the emotion of selecting the colour of the car. Then metallic colours were costlier than white, and we went with a metallic green colour. Dad chose Euro 2 over the carbureted model, so it was a technically advanced MPFI engine on our garage, and Dad boasted about it as Euro 2 was just launched and no one else chose it given the substantial price premium over carburettor model. It's over 21 years now, runs like butter, maintenance is cheaper than my bike, fuel gauge doesn't seem to go down in 10kms like my car does. Dad left these worldly pleasures and I am still enjoying what he left behind, the majestic Maruti 800.

Today I am 14 yrs old . When I was born my dad has only one splender but when I become two months old my dad decided to buy a car . There no many options for a small car in 2010 so take some suggestions from there Mama ji who was owning a wagnor . He suggested my dad to buy new Alto and my dad was new in car buying market so he blindly trusted his relatives suggestion and bought a Alto . It was my best memorable memory . My dad drived Alto more 2.5 lakh km . When I become older my interest in cars become out of the world then we bought a honda jazz in 2016 . Then the time comes for selling our alto . The day on which we sold our alto was very sadest day in my life as my whole childhood spent in alto . Me and my mom is crying whole night😢
