NEW Land Rover Discovery (2024) - Interior and Exterior Walkaround

The new 2024 Land Rover Discovery positions itself as a luxurious and family-friendly premium off-roader, combining sophisticated design with robust off-road capabilities. The Discovery's off-road prowess is showcased through its terrain-conquering equipment, including a two-speed transfer case, skid plates, and a height-adjustable air suspension system. Moving inside, the Discovery's interior exudes luxury, featuring upscale materials and a posh design. The level of comfort increases with higher trim levels, offering power-adjustable, heated leather seats with optional massage functions. The second-row seats provide flexibility with fore-and-aft and recline adjustments. Cargo space is generous, especially with the rear seats folded, accommodating up to 29 carry-on suitcases. Infotainment is handled by Land Rover's Pivi Pro system, featuring an 11.4-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. I have a Discovery 5. It is a very nice vehicle to drive and is an excellent tow car. However, the biggest changes that I would like to see are a proper split tailgate (that shelf is useful) and that the rear window be at least 5cm lower at the bottom. It is impossible to see the road when reversing on a slope on a single track lane and whilst cameras are good for checking, they are useless for reversing quickly out of someone's way. I hope that the next generation Discovery will revert to more of the design of the Discovery 4 and get rid of the curvaceous lines of the Disco 5. It also needs to slim down and be narrower. Also, let's get away from absolutely ridiculous sized rims. An 18" wheel is far more practical than the nonsense of 20". It is a 4WD for goodness sake. Not a 911!!

This car splits opinion but I have mine 6 years now and it has everything ! Looking at new sport and defender yeah has more tech and more modern but I do a lot of camping and the space and little extra storage compartments, boot tailgate etc is so versatile nothing on new models compare to that practicality

LR3, LR4, and logically LR5 should be the car they called "new Defender". There is no spirit of Defender in that Defender, and there is no Discovery in this Discovery.
