I had a brand new Audi Q7 55 TFSI I was driving. I gave it to my wife and just bought the basic 170 TDI Touareg. Wow what a machine! What a drive. We both love it. I enjoy it much more than I did the Q7. I feel it grips the road and gives you a soft feel. Nice and quiet also. All I can say is it’s amazing!

This car could have benefited for a single HO VR6, as these hybrids are a gimmick. I guess the effort is needed to fill the hybrid void for the carmaker. The gigantic shifter is just taking up too much center console space. Anyway, the Touareg used to be my dream car, but I could never own this update due to the asymmetrical infotainment. The monotone gray interior is extremely depression, unless you're shopping for a military vehicle.

No you will find when it is lit up it’s a beautiful space. You can do a lot with the configuration in the infotainment and also in the speedometer. You can change it to suit your taste with lighting and different dynamics. You should sit in one and see what it’s really like. I enjoy it immensely and every time I get in it’s like I drive it for the first time. And what a ride! Smooth and quiet and you feel it grips the road surface. You will be astonished. All the best
