The 2024 Changan Deepal S05 offers two battery options, catering to different driving needs. The all-electric version is equipped with a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, while the Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) version features a smaller 27.28 kWh battery. This allows the all-electric model to achieve an impressive CLTC range of 510 km, whereas the EREV version provides a pure electric range of 200 km. The acceleration for the all-electric model is quick, reaching 0 to 62 mph in just 7.3 seconds, while the EREV version follows closely at 7.9 seconds.
Regarding power, the EREV version combines a 1.5-liter petrol-electric generator with an electric motor, generating a robust 160 kW (215 hp). It boasts a fuel consumption rate of 16.6 kWh per 100 km in CLTC mode, and with its combined fuel and electric capabilities, it can reach a remarkable total range of 1,234 km. The vehicle also features advanced suspension technology, including a McPherson strut front suspension and a five-link rear setup, ensuring a smooth and stable ride. The S05's sleek design contributes to its efficiency, with a drag coefficient of just 0.25.
The S05 also impresses with its technological features. It comes with a 4K 'Intelligent Gimbal' camera and a 1.3 million-pixel 'Intelligent Headlight' system, enhancing both safety and convenience. Inside, the vehicle offers a high-end experience with a 15.4-inch central multimedia screen, 64-color ambient lighting, and a 14-speaker audio system, ensuring a premium driving environment. As part of Changan's Deepal NEV lineup, the S05 stands out as a compact SUV offering power, efficiency, and modern luxury.
