Lessons about train safety in this video. Lesson in Episode 3. Before going across railroad tracks always make sure that you have enough room to completely clear the tracks without leaving any part of your vehicle on or near the tracks. If you don’t have enough room to completely get across such as if there are a long line of vehicles on the other side of the crossing then wait until it is safe for you to cross and do not go across until you are absolutely sure that the other side of the crossing is clear. Remember if it won’t fit don’t commit. Lesson in episode 4. Especially At crossings with multiple tracks always assume that there will be more than one train coming as if there are multiple tracks there is always the potential of another train coming on another set of tracks. In that case when one train passes do not go across until you are absolutely certain that the tracks are clear such as when railroad crossing lights stop flashing and when railroad crossing gates go all the way up. Finally never go across the tracks even if you see a train that is stopped and not moving as especially at crossings with lights and gates there is a good chance that it isn’t the stopped train that is keeping them active but rather another train approaching on the other track and you may not see it due to the stopped train blocking your view of the other track.
