The Chevy Trax is a budget friendly crossover that features seating for 5, front wheel drive and an infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You'll find adaptive cruise control and the option for a rear park sensing system and heated 1st row seats!
It's powered by a 1.2L turbocharged engine, which is fuel efficient and surprisingly peppy for its size. In this video you're going to learn everything you need to know about the Trax. I cover off interior and exterior style, using the available technology, differences in trim levels and more!

I am driving a rental 2019 Chevy Trax, and I like it enough to possibly look into getting a 2024 at some point in the future. The only issue I have is that the seats are so damn uncomfortable and it is so small. Then I saw that there are larger versions in the newer line. Do the new seats feel comfortable? They look much different than the 2019.

This is by far the most comprehensive description of the Chevrolet Trax I've seen. I wish every salesperson knew half of what you do! Do you have any opinion about the usefulness of the Active Noise Cancellation built into this car?

Thanks Shane! I found at low speeds the cabin was fairly quiet but as you got up to highway speeds it was a bit noisy.. nothing out of the ordinary though

Hi again, Steve. Thanks for speedy reply. It sounds like the Active Noise Cancellation built into the Trax (and the Envista) doesn't work nearly as well as ANC in my noise-cancelling headphones. This was the feature of the car that was the most appealing to me. @@CarsWithSteve

You're right about that.. it's a night and day difference with headphones vs cars. Even it higher end $150k plus cars/SUVs, you're still going to find some road noise

I would like to see a little more of the driving part to get your take on road noise, wind noise, ride quality, seat comfort, ride quality, etc. still overall thanks for the video. I will be looking forward to the Envista review. Should you buy the Trax or the Envista ??

Thanks Allan! I found road noise was fairly low at regular road speeds but at highway speeds it was a bit noisy but nothing out of the ordinary for most cars I've driven. I'll make sure to add more to the Envista review I'm working on now! Good question about one over the other.. and it depends on what you find important in your ride. I did find the Envista to be quieter inside in all driving scenarios, cluster/infotainment physical display was nicer and the dash material is a good upgrade too. The Buick having the option for a power liftgate is a plus and the rear end slant is more noticeable in the Envista which makes it look nicer but makes the 2nd row a bit tight for people 6' or taller. I've been getting compliments on the Envista all week so far!

Thanks Steve for a really great response. I find the Trax and Envista very tempting and attractive because of the price but only concerned with the long term reliability of the 3 cyl turbo with a wet belt. Any info on this would be very much appreciated. I am a Honda guy but trying to replace my 17 CRV EX with a 24 CRV EX is shockingly expensive….almost 10 grand more. Almost 40 grand for an EXL…Honda is nuts! Looking forward to your Envista review. If I purchase one of these the Envista ST would be my choice. Thanks again!

You're welcome! I don't think I've come across any forum posts yet of people complaining about the engine. Regular maintenance should catch anything potentially going wrong but the 5 year powertrain warranty can always be extended if you need the extra peace of mind. The Trax/Envista do have a pretty good value proposition when you look at the feature set, performance and tech compared to the cost. I'm in the Envista ST right now but should have the review out soon

I'm the same with extended warranties.. tend to never get them. For the number of Trax that have been sold with the 1.2L turbo there's only 1 NHTSA complaint so far which is pretty good! The 1.2L has been around overseas for quite some time too

I found that there's a pretty good amount of space in the 1st row. The seats in the one I drove here were good - I put about 500 km on it during the week I had it and there were no comfort issues.
