2024 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks | This or the Badlands?

The Outer Banks trim level of the Ford Bronco Sport comes standard with some different tech. You'll find ambient lighting, and auto dimming rearview mirror and a rear park sensing system. Under the hood you'll only find the option for the 1.5L turbocharged engine, which even as an inline 3 offers a surprising amount of power.
This unit unfortunately was sold, so it couldn't be driven but in this video I cover off the features of the Outer Banks version of the Bronco Sport while talking about the difference in trim levels, interior space and more!

@CarsWithSteve, I've probably mentioned this before, but as someone who grew up in Colorado, I have fond memories of the old school Bronco from the 80's, and how it would take a group of us (teenagers at the time) into the mountains for ski trips. I sort of lament how it's shrunk in its current version.

The Sport is a huge deviation from the full size but it was smart on Ford's part to offer something smaller for people who want something more capable than the Escape. Curious, when was the last time you were in a Bronco? Had a chance to take a full size for a spin?

@@CarsWithSteve Wow, good question. I believe it would have been sometime in the 90's since I was last in a Bronco. At the time, I had an Oldsmobile Bravada (Oldsmobile's version of a Chevy Blazer.)

i just got my bronco sport outer banks i love it so far!! its cactus gray too! the only thing it didn’t come with is the tow package, do you know if there is a way to add that on?

That's awesome Brielea! You can add in the receiver aftermarket.. any Ford dealer can do it and you can have U-Haul do it.. The dealer install is usually nicer IMO

You can order most of it through Ford Front Bash Plate - LX6Z-9A147-B Fuel Tank Plate - LX6Z9A147A Fuel Tank Upper Shield - LX6Z9B007A There are some companies that offer aftermarket ones that'll be a bit more resilient because of thicker metal used

Isn't that 1.5 l engine a 3 cylinder?? A THREE CYLINDER??!! To pull a vehicle of that weight! My last motorcycle was a 1.5 l !! No thanks..... not for me.

Yup.. inline 3.. and it's been pretty reliable for most owners I know that have one. Peppy for its size but there's always the 2.0L turbo in the Badlands that I always recommend to people who want more power
