Hi where did you connect for the power source? I want to remove the mechanical fuel pump and install this one on my Nova hopefully solves my vapor lock.

An electric fuel pump will not cool your fuel - quite the opposite. You should cure that issue first. Fuel lines need to be clear of your exhaust or other heat sources. And most people simply install a switch on the dash to turn the fuel pump on and off. And then you obviously have to run a power wire back to the fuel pump which should be located under your fuel tank.

A carburetor spacer is helpful as well. i installed one on my '66 Plymouth Fury. This, along with shielding (and proper routing) on your fuel line, should help.

I have one of these and it is so noisey you can hear it over the running car feom ten feet away

It is by far the quietest over Edelbrock, Holley, etc. Barely audible when installed correctly.
