It's called a "steam fair" because their first ride was the steam gallopers, 2 rides have built-in steam powered engines but all the rides can be powered from steam by a showman's engine which they would have been when new. Love the dodgems, Reverchon "Jubilee" cars, they have some older Supercar dodgems now, can't wait to see them on tour in 2021

What y'all call dodgems, we call bumper cars in America lol...always cool to hear what other rides are called in other countries. Awsome video ❤...i wish we could get steam fairs here, but I've never seen one here, but regardless it's cool to see y'all have them 🙂

Diesel Wolf we also call them bumper cars but yeah Dodgems is the original name for them

Great vlog Andy, im hoping to make the trip to Carters for the first time at some point in the season. Hopefully the skid will be back soon 👍...love the gèek shots of the lorries! Cant beat a good Foden! 👍 enjoy Dreamland soon..another one on my list for this year that ive not been to before. Just check their Waltzer is still painfully slow for me as ive penciled that one in for my first ever Waltzer ride! Haha.😆

Besides wind, solar, and gravity, other sources of electricity generation (coal and nuclear) include steam to turn turbines. So steam is mostly technically correct. Really interesting vlog. Thanks for sharing!

Yes the dive bomber is up for sale and won't be operating with carters anymore my fave was the skid ride in Leicester back in the day was called spectrum skid and I loved the octopus but dive bomber was my all time fave

The family who use to travel the Octopus have retired so Carter's are looking for a new family to travel it with them so hopefully the Octopus will be back soon.

I think that was the dive bomber, which they are trying to sell - I believe the giant octopus was having some work done last season, although it did attend one or two dates
