The actor playing the live action Cartman was an old school youtuber named Brandon Hardesty. His old videos got featured a lot back during early youtube. One even got featured in a Geico commercial. He later switched careers and focused on professional acting, and this South Park episode was one of his roles. But since then, he's more focused on writing and directing.

I didn't enjoy this episode when it first came out but now i appreciate it for how unique of an episode it is. Theres maybe a total of 10 episodes that are truly unique (fun times with weapons and grounded vindaloop immediately come to mind) and this is one of them. Its still not my favorite episode by a long shot but i give it more credit now.

Actually yes, Quizzy, diet sodas _are_ in fact, worse for you. Regular soda is bad enough, but the artificial sweeteners in diet are even worse. Though the joke with “double dew” was that it had *twice* the caffeine and sugar of regular mountain dew, then “diet double dew” has *half* the caffeine and sugar of regular “double dew.” So it’s really just regular mountain dew. lol Also, they could have avoided getting Kenny’s coldsore and still shared the mountain dew by having Kenny drink last.
