Dogs. I was nearly attacked by a rabid dog when I was younger and my younger sister had a dog that was always out for my blood since I never was able to bond with him as a child (I stayed at my grandmas for most of my childhood and my sister had the dog already but my grandma had health issues later on and I stayed with my parents for the rest of my childhood). Thanks to that, I even tense up around small dogs

There is also a short clip of one of the very early episodes of The Simpsons where Marge says "Someone is afraid of something!" Then Homer interjects and says "Not anything!" Marge then utters the word "Sock Puppets" and that sets Homer off. There was one episode where it seemed like Finn from Adventure Time was Afraid Of Clowns, but if you look at it closer I don't think that was it. When the clowns were tending to Finn's wounds Finn didn't like the methods they were using to treat him because he found them "A little over the top!" Finn pretty much said "Is there any other way?" and the Nurse Clown I guess you could call her said "It's the only way!" That was the on running theme of that episode. I think Finn's fear was more I don't like these circumstances and I have no choice, but to endure what is happening! I hate every minute of it, but I can't make it stop! Which has happened to everyone in their life. The framing would make you think it's the clowns, but really he never had a problem with them. He's completely chill even when he returns to the treehouse.

Adventure Time is good at making you think the framing of a certain event or character is the main focal point, but it never really is. Like when Jake & Finn go to search for that Dolphin President under the ocean. It shows the corruption of their society they were letting to mammals from above the ocean dictate how their government ran or they at least interfered with it. There is a scene where it shows the Star Fish Police stuck on the wall they literally can't even help remove Finn from the situation. It seems like a light hearted episode where the Good Finn & Jake were conquering the bad Vice President Blowfish. Or did two people from a different society have no business sticking their nose where it never belonged LOL. The more you think about the actual situation rather then a cartoon you might see some things that seem more in-depth than the originally appear to be.
