I love Kappa Mikey. Alot of people I know hate the show or never heard of it. Also I love the fact Mikey can't emote like the rest of the characters in the show. Alway thought it was funny when he tried to. Great review of the show.

That's a pretty good comparison. The only comparison I could think of was Goku, but that was mostly because they share the same voice actor.

I watched this show as a child and remembered the song from the opening well, I forgot the name of the series itself, after 10 years I heard the opening and found the series, thank you opening!

Just got through watching two seasons, I really love the show when revisiting it. I remember watching it when I was a kid, too bad it was canceled and we never get to see Mitsuki and Mikey hook up. I think in my opinion that it's weird that Mikey had a crush on lily but lily seems to be annoyed and disgusted over mikey's shenanigans but mikey is totally ignorant about lily disliking him which is kind of funny but weird at the same time and also the animation isn't really that good, there's some episodes when the characters appearence like the facial, hair and mouth movement is not accurate. But even though the animation isn't good the show stood its best at that time for a animation cross over between western and Japanese animation, it was really good and fun to watch.

To be honest, I don't think Kappa Mikey is an accurate portrayal of Japan in real life at all. :(

I was actually among the minority of people that still remembered this cartoon. I really liked kappa mikey back in the day. I did find Gonard funny at the time but when I watch it now I don't really laugh as much simply because he was a cliche character much like the rest. He was the typical "big dumb friend" like Patrick or Ed. Regardless, it was a pretty good cartoon for the time it came out.
