One of my favourite comics of all time that Ive reread more times than I can remember. This is hands down JRJR best work in terms of art and story telling. And certainly one of Millers best too- its a beautiful, effortless, luscious read and wouldve made a great Daredevil movie- its certainly the blueprint for the character. Whenever people tell me that films are the most powerful artistic medium- I give them this book- and I rarely ever get it back:-))) For some reason I keep thinking that Janson did the wonderful inks but thank you for reminding me it was actually Williamson. You should also cover Dark Knight The Last Crusade- which Miller and JRJR reteamed for- also a superb book and a return to form for Miller at a point where you thought he couldn't write another great Batman story. I really hope we see Miller and JRJR work together again- they really are a great team- I dont know another artist that perfectly fits Millers writing style.

JR JR's work on this is impeccible. Very nicely drawn in general. His stroytelling, panel framing, panel layouts and directing is next level.

Don't forget, this cómic was made ti celebrate the 30th (35?) Anniversary of DD. How great It Is to celebrate a cómic book about a blind guy with covers that a blind guy could touch and know how Daredevil looks like?

Probably Frank Miller's most underrated and least talked about excellent works. And yes, It is absolutely JRJR's Sistine Chappel. At the time when this book was announced, I remember JRJR saying that he took an entire year just to work on this series because he wanted something to stand the test of time.

Such an amazing mini-series and great re-telling of Daredevil's origin that dovetails nicely with Miller's original run on the character. Individual moments in these books still give me chills, they're so perfect.

Man, I haven't seen this book in years! The bigger treat was Scioli guesting for Jim. Tom's observations of material at times are refreshing. Great episode!

My all-time peraonal favorite. The splash page of Matt climbing over a mountain of goons, beating some ass, is just perfection. I love the relationship between Matt and his father in this story. It's moving.

I've got some friends who are quite anti-JRJR. I remember one disagreement with them where they were especially adamant. "Name one truly great thing he's ever done." "Man Without Fear" (Long pause) "Okay, but that was awhile ago."
