For what it's worth, I'm Mike Luce, I did the Iron Man story in "Coober Skeeber." I was working with Tom Devlin at The Million Year Picnic when this came out. When the cover for it came in from Seth, we were in awe. Every time anyone who was at all interested in indie comics came in, we'd pull out the painting to let them see it. Tom really wanted to buy it, but Seth didn't sell much if any of his originals at that point. I have a lot of stories of working with Tom, whom I'm still in touch with. I also recently found out that the original art for this Iron Man story has been donated to the Library of Congress. I have kept making comics, though have self-published them. This is still my only published comic. Thanks for the kind words!

I really like the Devil Dinosaur parts you showed, this book reminds me of DC comics Bizarro comics that has a lot of independent artists doing their own short stories of different characters in the DC universe.

Those strange tales 1 and 2 hardcovers are my favorite marvel stories. Great artists and ideas that get put to good use! I think Jim Rugg even has a machine man story in one.

17:34 - Power Pack as seen by Henry Darger is the best bit. So hilarious. Fine to see Coober Skeber covered. I picked this up free at a local comic shop and always enjoyed the variety of Indy styles. A very exciting time for Indy potential and possibilities. Brian Ralph & Fort Thunder Yeah Brian Chippendale and Matt Brinkman’s style was exciting and blew my mind. Yes the Spider Woman story art is so good. Apparently The artist passed away. I would love to see more of his art. Thanks gents!

Love this book! I feel like there was a stack of these on a flyer/freebie table at SPX one year. I could be imagining this or misremembering though, I'm very old.

I like to see Tradd Moore and Daniel Warren Johnson work on Marvel work because it is like having outsider art in the big two. It is distracting from their creator owned stuff but the novelty of it can be fun.

Tradd Moore has! He did Silver Surfer: Black and I think he might be doing a Doctor Strange book right now.
