I love when Rob holds court. Over in Ireland when I was growing up, we didn't really have comic stores. At least none in my area. So all of his stories and information allow me to go back in time to look up artists I have never heard of on runs I didn't know about. This channel does the same thing for me. So no when I do my own comics I get to listen to great episodes from you guy's and learn as I listen. Keep up the fantastic work. - Colm

Amazing interview with Rob, this is why comics were so amazing in the 80s and 90s.. The people making the books had a love and respect for the characters. They were just as big a fan of comics as anyone. Today I feel alot of creators didnt grow up on comics.. maybe they saw the 90s x-men cartoon or a marvel movie if lucky, they mainly look at being a comic writer or artist as a stepping stone to some thing they feel is better. That approch doesn't make great comics. Want great comics find creators who love comics.

Liefeld’s energy is big. It’s fun to listen to hear how he sees comics. Like many intelligent people, he’s involved with his thoughts, but his thoughts are very interesting and he is open. The art and the artist and the person are maybe three different things. I’m trying to go light on judgment because everyone is flawed including you and me. I don’t like his 90s art a lot but this interview makes me curious to see what he’s up to now. To see if there’s an evolution. Passion does matter in any endeavor. I can see why he’s been so successful even if I think others are more talented.

I was a casual fan of Liefeld, but man oh man, he won me over with this wonderful interview. I'm about the same age as Liefeld, and I wish he looked as good as he did. I never think of death or that I'm THAT old AND NEITHER SHOULD ROB! i can think of just as many comic artists that still were as good as they ever were in their senior years: John Severin, Robert Crumb, Richard Corben, Russ Heath, Gahan Wilson, Al Williamson, and for God's sakes, Al Jaffe who is almost 100 years old! Ac-cen-tuate the positve, Mr. Liefeld! Looking forward to the Snake Eyes series. I'm hesitant to suggest any interviews, as you gentlemen have done such a fine job on your own, but would love to see you talk with John Romita, Sr., Bud Plant, the elusive Richard Corben, Bruce Timm, and Joe Lansdale (who has worked on many comics and a couple DC animated series - Truman can probably hook you up!).

Currently reading SUPREME. And was wondering if (or rather when!) you were going to get into Alan Moore with Liefeld. It was worth the wait! Hilarious and candid recollection from Rob. I'm annoyed that it didn't continue longer, even with Steve Moore, who was great in his own right and as Alan described according to his bios. The worst thing about this though is that Supreme isn't as readily available as most of Alan's other masterpieces. It really is brilliant so far and should be constantly in print in some snazzy collected edition. As far as I know it's only been collected once and is hard to track down for an affordable price. I had to search the four corners of ebay to get all the individual issues over several months. Glad I did though, it really is brilliant and up there with most of Moore's other greats.
