Around 1:30:00 when squirrels speed decreased dramatically I think it was because the objective glitched counting every mushroom you picked up as a completed objective which increases his armor

Cartoonz, I don't know if you'll see this but, if you want a fun roguelike game with modding capability, try Risk of Rain 2. It's a really fun game that has multiple characters to choose from and endless potential for builds. Want to set everything on fire? We got a build for that. Want to summon the ghost of your foes? We got that as well.

Ive sunk a ton of hours into risk of rain but even with all the mods it can get a little repetitive and with most builds in the game the late game rounds are pretty much just 1 click or no click and everything within a certain range dies

selecting targetting the highest enemy is what stopped the healing, you made your core weapon no longer target close enemies/allies, it puts you in danger as your core damage focused on the big slow enemies not the small fast ones. you probably wanna use that feature on abilities that don't heal or aren't your core of damage.

Toonz investing in cooldown on an infinite casting spell over upgrading his other spells is driving me legitimately insane

It increases the tick/DPS. It's half the reason he got so much damage with it. They all do damage in intervals, even the beam/pulse, and the cooldown upgrades lower that interval resulting in more damage (in fact it often results in higher damage output than the actual damage upgrades).

Squirrel didn't specifiy what he was making lightning, but I think acid would be better for the solar pulse than lightning is. Lughtnjng what, chains damage to nearby enemies? It's like a 10% increase to the pulse's size. Acid on the other hand reduces their resistance so they'll die faster in the area.

Why? He maxed the 3 spells that worth anything, he maxed the DPS thanks to combining the cooldowns and damage buffs, especially for the beam (hence it having insane DPS) and chose team-boosting upgrades like XP gain and healing. It seems like you don't understand the mechanics of this game.
