Reasons I ship them: 1. Basically two of the last full blooded Saiyans left alive (the "last of our kind" trope makes me think they could feel a certain comfort in that). In the manga, the two also both have conflicted feelings on their own race, the crimes the Saiyans committed, etc. It makes for a lot to explore 2. Total opposites, they complete each other and make up for each other's flaws, Goku is too relaxed, Vegeta is too uptight. Goku spares enemies too often, Vegeta is too quick to kill. Vegeta is the smart one, Goku is the lovable idiot. Vegeta is quiet and reserved, Goku is friendly and outgoing. They help each other realize what they need to fix about themselves. 3. Goku was the person who ultimately changed and saved Vegeta, he is no doubt Vegeta's best friend(krillin may be Goku's but that's outside of the point), Goku showed Vegeta mercy and compassion when nobody else would have. 4. Goku and Vegeta can actually match and understand each other as warriors 5. Vegeta acts a bit towards Goku like chichi does, scolding him over things for being reckless etc 6. Similarly, Goku knows how to tease Vegeta and get rises out of him a little like Bulma does. 7. Vegeta is the only reason Goku learned to appreciate his heritage as a Saiyan and started allowing himself to be called Kakarot, before then he was ashamed and wanted nothing to due with it 8. They're always going off to train with Whis anyways and always get jealous when they find out the other has gone off without them 9. Vegeta's whole "you seem like you enjoy fighting hit more than you enjoy fighting me" totally doesn't sound like he's totally jealous 🤣 10. Vegeta knows what a kiss is and is clearly more experienced with intimate acts, Goku is more pure and innocent when it comes to that. I could see him secretly being shy with him during such acts, it seems like Vegeta would want to be more in control when it comes to romance and stuff. 11. Then again look how flustured Vegeta gets over holding Goku's hand 😳 12. Gogeta and Vegito, the whole fusion dance, reminds me a lot of Steven Universe. Because of them being complete opposites, their fusion is by default completely perfect. Vegeta gets pretty flustured about having to do it and even blushes on occation. Says he hates it but man does Gogeta/Vegito love existing.
