I prefer that kind of calm and technical presentation over any loud and fast moving marketing film. Well done

One of the better promotional video's of Starboard I think. Actual information, little marketing BS. I really like Starboard's concept of the Mangrove-planting and plastic collection related to their own turnover. They truly set an example, also to other consumer industries. What I don't understand is how the recess in the deck around the baseplate would lower the center of gravity. I'm willing to believe the recessed baseplate has a positive effect on something but surely it cannot have anything to do with the center of gravity of the board or the combination of rig and board? I suspect it has something to do with the drive-force of the sail, applied through the hinge of the UJ, being closer to the drag-force between board and water. Less offset and therefore less dive-torque? Can anybody explain the physics behind this?

Ordered a 2021 Carve 135l just yesterday! Really waiting to get it and get it in action, autumn season is here 🤙🍂

I got a Carve 135 a couple of weeks ago. All boards are compromises. It's not a fast board like my iSonic 122, but planing is excellent and very surprisingly it makes jumps in chop quite easy even though it's an 80 cm. wide board. Jibing is tricky as the tail is very sensitive to foot placement, but' its a matter of getting used to it. Its surprisingly good with very small sails like my Severne Blade 5.7 in serious chop and lots of wind, and it's a good blaster with a 7.0 twin cam sail. I have tried it with my Severne Turbo 9.2 too. It comes on a plane very early and speed is fine though not overhelming. If you have a bigger board there's no need to compromise the carve with big sails. The Carve 135 is basically a very good compromise for the average or good windsurfer dealing with far from ideal conditions.

I used to buy boards from you; however, I feel like your boards are now heavy since you are not using high carbon for the recreational class. Therefore, I started to look at other brands.

Carve 115 wood sandwich is actually lighter than carbon version. I tried this board in rental and was truly amazed how it eats chop and have no issue going in small winds and stronger too. Reasonable fast too for freeride board. Top board for sure.
