That is the most realistic swimming paddletail that I have ever seen. I would absolutely buy those tails. 100%.

Hey Nate love your videos!! You should totally do a video where you try and make the same lure in one hour, 10 hours, and 24 hours or something like that, i don't know how fast you can make a bait but it would be a pretty awesome video

As a machinist, I can't wait for the next bait!! I really want to see you team up with someone who has a vast knowledge of fluid dynamics or even aeronautics. It would be awesome to incorporate something from an airplane or an F1 car into a bait in a way that looks natural like only you can. Something like NACA ducts on a jointed swimbait in front of the joints or some kind of really intricate vortex generators would be awesome.

A filleting tip my grandfather taught me is to leave the skin attached near the base of the tail so you can use the carcass as a handle, if that makes sense. Always a great feeling to catch an open water fish in the winter months!!

That’s a very good tip. It makes filleting a bunch of fish at a time much faster

Hey Nate, my whole family loves walleye and we specifically fish for them and not much else cause we love the meat. Not sure if you read the other people's comments or even are reading this but the cheek patch is the absolute best peace of the fish and it's just a walleye thing. It is so tender and delicious. Just scoop it out with the tip of you're knife and you're good. Also, I know another good fish seasoning for white meat is lemon pepper, it's my absolute favorite. Another amazing bait, can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Hey Nate. That bait is absolutely awesome. if those were made in bulk,I guarantee you I would buy them I’ve used hundreds of different swim baits and,the action on that bait is not comparable to anything I’ve seen or used! Not kidding you should Patton it quickly! Small ones for Croppie medium for bass walleyes and, large ones for tuna and other pelagic species! You’re definitely a master Luer maker but I think this one could make you rich.keep up the good work and thanks for the wonderful videos!

pro filet tip: if you leave a little skin attached to the carcass, you can use the carcass as a handle and skin from tail to gil. My old man fileted bottomfish (westport,WA) for money when he was a kid. he passed it on to me when i was young and use it every time

Incredible work, Nate! Possibly the most advanced catch & cook yet 💪😂 I'm not sure how the actual lure build/assembly would go, but a lure made with real fish skin sounds INSANE! 🔥 Tanning the skins would probably be your best bet, and there are a ton of resources online for methods to make a pliable, suede-like leather that'd be easy to work with. 🤙 (Happy to compile & send some links if it's a real interest!)
