I am very new to carving and I love this project. Can I ask about scaling? I mainly have 1 inch and 2 inch blocks. If I were to try this with 1” would I just reduce each measurement by 1/3 to keep the proportions? Thanks! Yes, I hone the Lenox Gold blades. Because they have a titanium plating on the edge they tend to last longer than a standard utility blade.

Nice work, but never would I carve with that kind of blade and handle. Much too dangerous for the blade to snap (break) and possibly hurt myself
