Looks amazing . Another one to try and I know what you mean about painting the carvings. I prefer the look of the wood grains in the finished carving. When you get chance can you do a tutorial on owl heads. Can't seem to get it right on different heads. Thanks look forward to the next video.

Hi Eric, as at the end of the video you ask for suggestions, here _I 'am. As non professionist I think the snout is to big for a fox and also the body in general should be a little bit more slender, at least here in Italy foxes are slender. great job any way, I would probably wasted 2 core of wood before I could reach your level of carving, ciao. keep on carving!! nad thanks for teaching !

Awesome for your first attempt! Very nice as far as feed back ...it could have been thinner less blocky. I really hate to criticize because it turned out nice more like a cyotye ! Definiatly a cyotye or a dingo for the folks down under! Love your video. Trying to learn myself and these are super helpfull. Keep them coming.

Great looking puppy!! kidding. I have done one fox but looked at lots of pics... if you slanted the nose down and then made the nose a bit more pointed then back to the eyes and forehead. But love your work and your commentary

The muzzle needs to be longer and thinner as does the body, I think a few more and you'll nail it

A light wash of color could be good

The face has more of a bear look to it. Or a cross between a bear and a dog. The face needed to be a bit longer and more narrow. It's not a bad carving just doesn't resemble a fox.

A lot of foxes run through my neighborhood. You did a good job, but you might try shrinking the jaw down just a bit.

Fox have pointed ears and are as thin as a cat almost, and always got a almost disproportionate big ol tail . Just the things that made me not say a fox when done. Maybe can help you out next time.
