So many thoughts. I believe you were in the right and I do love that the two of you appear to have gentle souls, the world needs more of that. And y'all seem to be the type of people I'm most comfortable around. We all make decisions about what is right or wrong, some a swayed by what they have been told to think others by God's Law, I'm in the latter. I too have had to start over in life, experienced great loss and separation. My heart goes out to you for i understand that difficulty. Also understand that extreme desire to help others who are suffering. As for those who condemn you for not "turning yourself in", please don't listen to them, they weren't in your shoes. You break the law you do the time...|Weed is now legal in all of Canada but there are people still in jail for selling it just months before the government well legal, the cops did a big round up just before they started selling it in the liquor stores. I expected tons of kickass tool and carving vids and not a story about the frustrating way other folks can bind up our short time on earth. I have tremendous respect for you both for being strong and brave. You are right that the manly thing to do is resist the corruption. I feel your pain. A few years ago I had to leave my homestead just to improve my woodworking gear and get an upgraded vehicle 4x4, I did manage to do that but also got trapped a few years in a very unjust legal situation, fortunately I got back recently and started rebuilding and thinking "how could I have ever left this place?". But you know, it is just the way it goes sometimes, and if you guys feel that is your home, you should just establish already. Easier said than done...
