If you swivelled that branch with the light on it round 90 degrees you could maybe get his face illuminated from the front. Might have to reposition the owl and sign though. Great work anyway.

Probably best to just drill the holes the same distance between each bulb on the string. Saves a lot of work splicing wires. Really nice job though.

Your initials look very similar to mine Distinguishablly different but very similar. Mine are S.J.L. Let me just add. I very much appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise. You are the only "youruber" that i watch regularly and I've carved several wood spirits. I carved an owl in the nook but as you always say "don't be a Jordy". I burned all the details off and then carved it too thin. Lesson learned. 😂. I'm eager to carve another. I will probably make one of these mushroom/crystal type things. I hope you don't mind

What a fantastic creation Jordy, the struggle is real & watching you figure stuff out along the way is part of that journey ehh? We learn by having a go n pushing ourselves, I love how it turned out n the fact you had to redo parts of it to make it something your happy with, the mirrored path the shrooms n giving the piece height using the Arbutus 💪n that top light just adds the finishing touch.
