Jordy, I have seen people that use nail polish to actually paint the eyes. If you only need 2 colors, black and another color, you can easily paint the pupil on them, and let them dry before painting the iris. Then if you want another level of protection you can add another coat, clear or whatever tot he back.

taxidermy eyes are great for all type of arts. the nice glass ones are a bit prciey but worth it for the nicer projects i think. thanks jordy! you rock!

What a good idea. I thought about the little rubber candy molds at hobby lobby placing black marbles in the molds with a thin layer of ca glue.. letting it dry . The next step using ca glue that I've added eye color to then pouring that on top of the already dried clear ca glue. Whew I think your idea is much better. Thanks for sharing

A tip for the eyes: Whenever you need to seal ink,...on paper or whatever,...I have used a clear spray called 'artist fixative'. Once dry you can use your choice of glue over it,or seal it with a topcoat, and the ink won't bleed. I haven't made the eyes, myself, but it would be interesting to try. I have been using UV resin, and I bet that would work as glue. Just get the eyes set in place with it, put them on a tray and set them out in the sun to cure. I'll have to try it sometime n let you know what my results are. Thanks for the tips!😊

Modge podge is a great glue I use it a lot if I burn a carving and put that on it will go darker and helps seal it

Nail polish contains acetate so will affect digital inks . In my opinion UV resin with a UV torch to set it, would be the best call, its clear n will dry hard it will also protect the colours for longer time. What the Fook do I know though 🤘Hope ya good bro

Try a few coats of thick CA glue. Let dry in between coats. Best of luck!

My brother make jewelry, and he uses Super glue (from the dollar store) and spreds it all over the project, After he glues it down. Takes some time and patience, but if done right, it's clear, hard and very nice!

Uv resin would work and it would be safe to put it outside. Could also cure multiple at one time for 2 min or less.
