The XC40 is nice, but quality is a mix badge for me. I find it far too cheap, and it´s not cheap either. For £25 000 you have to be lucky to even find a XC40 Momentum Core with a T2 engine. Add options, a T4 or D4 engine, leather seats and other kit, and it will easily get over £40 000. For that money I can have this Tucson with full spec, N-Line and still few thousands in my pocket.

You know, Matt, Hyundai are going to sell an insane number of these cars. And, as you pass one every few minutes everywhere you travel, you're going to be thinking about this review and the viewers' reaction to it. Matt's videos are usually informative, even if he does have his preferences and biases [who doesn't?] It felt on this occasion like he really didn't want to be there and was in a hurry to get the review done ['I need to get to the shops before they close in an hour"] --or angry he got a 150HP one to drive. The car was the victim of his bad mood and it felt to me like his mind had mostly already been made up about the car. It's odd that this review doesn't feature much driving or much detail. The car, in another version, is meant to have a remote parking feature. It would have been nice to find out if that's pointless or user-friendly. Does the new lighting design bring benefits or drawbacks? He said the visibility is fine but the turning circle is so-so: it would have been nice to see that in action in trying to parallel park. What about the side cameras? I hope we see Matt return to form soon.

Consider?! This car looks far better and interesting than a VW, and its reliable too! Plus you get good value for money. Sorry to say but one of the reasons I stopped following carwow was because Matt keeps making repeated comparisons of every Asian car to VW cars or high end cars. He keeps complaining about aspects that are irrelevant and just too nit-picky. But when it's a VW group car or high end car, his attitude is as energetic/alive as having a crush. He doesn't realise that Hyundai isn't targeting wealthy car reviewers like himself, they're targeting mass market clients, who are budgeting but want best value for money, plus lengthy warranty. What does VW have? Snobbish dealers? Quality that goes terrible after 5 years? Fancy options that catch fault within a year of ownership? Only 2-3 years warranty? High price tag on just about every single of their models. Rivals offer cheaper, better value and longer warranties. In Belgium the new Tucson is selling like wildfire, putting a tough time for VW. The overall public reception is positive, people love the Tucson. If this was some VW group car, Matt would've said "BUY". Maty keeps showing off his personal cars, I can respect that he feels great about himself, but if you're going to be reviewing cars, please leave your personal comparitive thoughts at home.

carwow: Hyundai Tucson 2021 copies many other cars hyundai: what is carwow
@muhammedmohsen943 жыл бұрын
Put on a VW badge or BMW badge on that car then see Matt go crazy admiring how it looks so special and original ,, you really should put your hatred for Hyundai aside and do a car review like a professional reviewer and an adult grown man .. The new Tuscon looks so unique far away of any copying as the whole new Hyundai generation and designs looks so special .. sadly 👎 dislike for that biased lame review

Yeah! Even those comparisons in the beginning. Rear light like seat. Well no, dodge has been doing it for years. Or the brake lights are like the ones in peugoet. No, they are simular to the mustang and rav4 was not the one to use square wheel arches. It has been a jeep trademark for about 80 years. I get that designers pull from other but come on, please reference the proper makes and models and dont try to make the boring class leaders better. Didn’t Hyundai offer you a dinner or why this review seems so biased? Every other journalist seems to love this car and are really high on Hyundai and what they are doing right now.
@ivandoe333 жыл бұрын
@@vartsi83 He is basically a big fan of VW group and biased towards them and lately a bit of BMW as they kind of sponsored him. I am not saying that VW group doesn't make great cars, but it was so obvious especially earlier in his reviews, that he skipped many bad things on VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda cars, while pushing up to the stars the good sides, but not doing the same with other car brands. Also he is testing new vehicles, so he doesn't or obviously can't provide the average cost of ownership over the years for tested model. Anyway I still watch his videos, mostly those drag races as they are fun, and gives You insight of how fast are those expensive new monsters. That said, I kind of like the look of new Tucson and will definitely consider it next year, when I change my car, although I prefer wagons or sedans.

For real. The car steers for you in town and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. He just mentions it like it's no big deal. Do competing suvs in the same price and size range do the same?
@obidean39643 жыл бұрын
The biggest thing that he can somehow misses out to mention is that big wing shaped DRL like how tf he can overlook that part, it's not my cup of tea but definitely striking af yet he keep exaggerated "the copy" parts when they're essentially design trends on almost any car in the market right now. Seriously disappointed in his review this time 😓 Even his tone for this review is different compared to his usual, probably because it's not German 🙄
@calebwoods93583 жыл бұрын
@@obidean3964 Yeah, the way the headlights and DRLs seamlessly integrate into the grill is a sharp detail. And I'm with you, this wild design isn't for everybody so why can't he just say "I don't like it"? @05p033 жыл бұрын
A shockingly disappointing review from CarWow . Too much VAG bias and the whole 'copycat' thing went way too overboard . The Designers I believe have done a brilliant job with the exterior/interior design , nailed it and its certainly very striking compared to the ever so dull (though classy) VAG cars. You should SHORTLIST this NOT consider it ! Can't wait for carbuyer or carguru's review , hopefully much more promising instead of this waffle . Let's not forget , Hyundai/Kia have come a long way to where they are now , hiring some the some of the best talent in recent years (engineers/designers from 'rival' German marques) to help them advance . A brand that is proudly ambitious , and not afraid to push the boundaries . I'm bitterly disappointed and upset , which is why for the first time I have disliked a carwow review .
