@KQJH 1. It's impossible to judge reliability of that young models. If you knew what you're talking about, you'd know this. 2. I doubt the Lexus is more comfortable than the S-Class. Never heard something like this from any tester.

I really cant get the idea of the sportiness in this class . This is luxury limousine, it should isolate you from the outside world, no to put a smile on your face while driving on a back roads. If I'm after sporty feel it is much better to take BMW5 or Audi A6 - this is the better compromise between sport and luxury. But when you take the luxury class then it is pointless to look any further then S-class

Why does Mercedes continually make the S Class the class leader, yet BMW does the same with the 3 and 5 Series. The styling of the S Class is geared towards attracting the Asian and Middle East consumer. The auto magazine are predominantly German owned, and as such show favouritism towards the German brands and score superior vehicles like Lexus with unfavourable reviews. It’s a fix.

Having used both cars the 7 series is far superior as a more sporty car. The s class seems to be designed for 70 plus and really feels it. I would never buy one over a 7 series as they are a much better drive and have better engines and kit.

if you wanna get a S-Class, power is not what it "needs", so S-Class is made as a comfort car, better said "Car for bosses", ofc if you can afford AMG version its ok but anyway normal Mercedes Engine its enough for this model! if you wanna high performance, powerful car go for other versions like CLS63 AMG it's about 100k euros, at least it's only my opinion and maybe im wrong :)

It is not just the Mercedes. Did you see the new LR Discovery? Well it is just a copi of the Disco sport. BMW line - almost indetical to each other. Audi? Same think. From a distance you cant find if it is A4, A6 or A8. Every manufacturer nowadays makes just a copy of the design of well accepted models. But instead copy paste the marketologist call this "identity :)
