True, but he seems rather biased at times... which is something I dislike in a motoring journalist. The thing is that technology in the car industry constantly moves forward and then you have people like Jeremy Clarkson with his constant idiotic jabs at electric vehicles or hybrids who have a problem keeping up with the times. I think he looks like a complete fool in hindsight. And this will probably get worse as time moves on and more and more awesome hybrids and EVs hit the market. Matt's bias towards Diesel engines is similarly annoying. The Diesel engine's dead. Has been for years. Laws and regulations will soon make it illegal to produce them and shortly after it will be illegal to drive them. So advising people to buy a Diesel at this point in time is quite frankly shocking to me. After the death of the Diesel we will see the death of the regular petrol engines and then all that remains are hybrids and EVs. Which is a good thing, I think. Not just for environmental reasons but also because EVs already drive better than most combustion engine cars and will get even better in the future. As soon as we have cheap light weight batteries no one will wanna buy a combustion car anyway.

C-class 2020 is almost identical to C-class 2014 except for the digital instrument cluster. Time for a new generation of C-class Mercedes !!

Note to people considering the C Class/C Coupe: DO NOT get the 1.5 nor the 1.6L petrol engines, also, I would advise against going with a diesel. Both have a terrible idle and are like Jeremy Clarkson, lots of noise but not a lot of movement. The best engines on the C Class are the 2L petrol (both power variants) and the V6 is quite nice too.

18" wheels or bigger, especially with run flat ruin the ride of every car in regards to comfort...mine came with factory 18" wheels and run flat tires....even the air suspension did not help to make comfy as a Merc should be...switched to 17" wheels with non run flat tires is a totally different world...now the drive is as relaxing and comfy as can be expected from a car like this. Also any marks regards the sound insulation in reviews should be noted with caution...most reviews dont even know or dont care to mention if the test car was equipped with acoustic windows or not...makes a huge difference in the C class...without the acoustic package it's not a particular quite car...really would go for that detail when buying.

Love my C class. Burmester is definitely a plus. One minus you didn't mention is hitting the call buttons everytime you want your sun glasses. I love telling Mercedes when they call me back that I don't have an emergency... I think it'll be the plugin hybrid for me next though :)

why would you want to have the gear selecter behind the steeringwheel? Just like an old american pickup! The gear selecter should be in between the two front seats, as it is in most cars! A real stick to select gear! Not a small tiny plastic part hid behind the streeringwheel

i really love the facelift c class. took a c63 and c43 for drive at my dealer. the 43 is very balanced suitable for an average driver while c63 is a raging bull which will kill you if you are not an experienced driver, its more fun though. that v8 rumble even at 50 percent throttle is breathtaking.

It’s a great car overall for a choice of a comfortable sedan. However there are 2 things that didn’t make sense to me: 1. The default speakers(Boss I believe if you don’t choose the speaker package) is shit, only 5 speakers in the car and the sound quality is worse than my Toyota Aurion, pretty hard to believe it happened to a Mercedes 😅 2. I am not really fuzzy with heated/cooled seats, electronic adjustments are just good enough for me. However, this model in specific, car seats are more sportier looking than the actual comfortability especially for high way drive, it feels too firm and less support on the lower back( doesn’t matter how you adjust it).

Coincidentally, I reviewed the exact same 2020 Mercedes C300 4Matic of the same color - Brilliant Blue Metallic - and it had the 18 Twin 5-Spoke wheels. The piano black is really a fingerprint and scratch magnet. It looks great, but, it may scratch easily. So, gotta be careful there. MBUX is a step in the right direction.

Because it knows that the air in tunnel is not good because of the other cars exhaust so it closes the windows and start the air filtration system that fyi is extremely good
